Okay,
Why I like blogger:1. Its free
2. Easy to Use
Blogger bugs me and here's why:1. Its slow and its gone down for hours at a time
2. On a blog like mine, which isn't particularly time sensitive. There are many older, previous post that folks might want to comment on. If they do there's no way of knowing if that post has been commented on (unless you review all the old posts)
3. You can't edit comments, only delete them. I'd love to be able to take links out of comments (my pet peave) but leave the substance of the comment.
4. There is no good way to categorize posts so people can view all the, lets say,
You Supply the Captions at once.
5. As a former IT geek, I like a little more control on the presentation and databse side of things.
The upshot of all this is, if I was going to continue to blog, I'd want to do it on WordPress or something like it. Well I started fooling around with it the other night and really enjoyed it. I tried exporting this blog to my new test blog and it choked, but migrated a few posts over just for fun and really liked the look on the new blog.

The other upshot, is I miss you blognerds and the cyber-fellowhip. Soooooo... here's the link to my new blog
http://purgatorio1.com/. You can come by and comment or lurk as I gradually (as time permits) load old posts till I get it current, and I will be posting new things occasionally. I need feedback to know if you are seeing it okay in your browser and have created a page called Feedback for that purpose.
Come say hi and please update your blogrolls with the new site. Thanks for enduring my waffling during this time of transition.
Peace,
Marc
BTW I'm sure
Challies will continue to believe this whole thing was a publicity stunt...
